I haven't been to Italy, but the total lack of love for northern Italy is throwing me off. Como and Lago di Garda look cool to me.

I tend to agree with the crowd to perhaps skip Greece. I spent three weeks on a Greek island and had a blast, which is to say, I don't think you'll get bored with your whole trip being in Italy if you went that route.

Probably because most people haven't been to that part of Italy.

I haven't personally been; however, a close friend and his wife had an amazing time touring the Dolomites, visiting Lake Garda.
