Absolute fricking crickets from The Advocate after a gun battle between two cars on one of the main thoroughfares in the city.
Stephanie Grace must think its Trump's fault.

Wrong location.

I guess I meant forcing the owner to shut them down. I can’t find the articles but there was some stories a while back about the city meeting with the owner/owner companies to clean them up or they would get involved. I’m pretty sure the owner company sold them not too long after

There was some talk about the city taking over those motels due to being a public nuisance with all the crime but I’m not sure what happened with it
Why would the city do that? This is the type of city the leaders want. This is exactly what every Dem voted for.

What’s going on in BR has nothing to do with Biden……
What is going on in BR is tied to Biden and his ilk who believe in big government, government social programs, government playing big brother and lack of support for law and order, the traditional family and basic civics.
BR had hit the trifecta. Mayor, governor, president are all Democrats.

I remember that too, but it’s all grandstanding.

I worked in that area
The trash from N. Sherwood Forest has filtered south to combine with the addicts in the Motel 6 by the Advocate building and the trash in the apartments on Seigen just south of Sam’s.
The entire corridor has become a daily freak show of crack whores, meth heads and thugs playing real-life Frogger across six lanes of Seigen traffic near Reiger Rd., and bums panhandling at every stoplight from the Sherwood/Coursey intersection down to the Seigen/Perkins intersection.

And the cheap drug infested whoretels just off the interstate.

The disintegration of every urban area in the country follows the same blueprint and we are unable to do anything about it because speaking the truth and addressing it head on is political suicide in any Parish, City or County where Democrats outnumber Republicans. Ironically the people who suffer most from Democratic, Liberal, and Racially charged policies are the same people that vote for those policies and that they are supposed to be helping. The rest of us have the means to simply move away from the stupidity. It is hugely disproportionately African Americans who are the victims of murder and other violent crimes and who are perpetually stuck in neverending poverty cycles because of the policies they vote for and the policies that white liberal idiots bestow upon them in the name of helping them.
Lyndon Baines Johnson - pretty much sums it up.

Directly? Nah. Not yet
Progressive politics. You bet your arse.
We used to expect poor people to work, advance, find their way through life. Now, we make excuses, subsidize them, and in the name of social justice, hold them to zero standards,. You think its bad now, wait until these people start getting UBI.

WBRZ said it was along I-10 at Siegen Lane, which is the City of Baton Rouge.
WAFB said the shooting happened under an overpass where I-10 crosses Siegen, which is still the City of Baton Rouge.
The Advocate says the shooting happened on Siegen Lane near the entrance to I-10 Westbound, which is still the city of Baton Rouge.

Don’t care anymore. They made their beds, let them lie in them. I’m moving as far away from Louisiana and the South as I can, as soon as I can. I’m ready to live somewhere much less urban and with no cultcha. It will be glorious.

As a white person I would just like to apologize for my innate white supremacist tendencies that caused these young African- American men to shoot at one another, so close to my own home. And also for my white privilege that allowed me to casually and peacefully observe the social contract from the relative safety of my couch in my mostly- white racist neighborhood and be completely unaware that this was happening and that my lifetime of whiteness had caused it. I feel shame and self- loathing. Why do I have to be so white? And why do so many black people have to continue to suffer for my lifetime of white sin ?
Nailed it.

They are a safety hazard, They also dump their trash up and down Siegen. Their shopping carts are scattered around. They tear down the fencing. People giving them money are supporting this system where organized bands of drug addicted work in unison to support their habit. They are helping to tear down the city.

Don’t forget the morons on the city council.

I agree.
Worried about prison overcrowding? Then build bigger prisons.
