Quality dog food recommendations

We have largely used Science Diet dog food over the years, but the price is higher than what I feel like the quality the dogs are getting.
I do need to keep the price down, since we are constantly fostering a number of dogs. We go through a lot of dog food for the pups.
Any good suggestions?

Personally, I like 'ole Roy but the dog eats Gravy Train.

I feed mine a combo of
Chewy link and roasted chickens from the deli, unflavored. I usually get 3 or 4 when they go onsale. 1 chicken usually lasts my 100# Catahoula and a 5# shite-zoo about 2 weeks. It comes out much cheaper than those prepackaged raw foods.

Just switched my guy from high-end, grain-free dog food to Purina Pro Plan. He loves it, it’s reasonably priced and there are many flavors to rotate.
My vet cautioned me regarding grain free diets for dogs that include peas and legumes, as there may be a link to those ingredients and cardiomyopathy.

What breed? What size dog? Any allergies or other maladies?
We’ve got a couple of FBDs on Iams lamb and rice for skin allergies. The other 5 mutts eat Purina Dog Chow. Scoff all you want, but every dog I’ve had on dog chow lived to 13YO minimum and never had a health problem.

Diamond grain free with fish as the protein(the blue bag). My dog has really bad GI issues until I switched to this and it's been night and day. I order off Amazon

You'll want about about a 3:1 mix of Purina and Ol' Roy for optimal performance.

Simply Nourish. Overall a great dog food and the cost is around $45 - $60 for the 30lb bag.

Purina Pro Plan is the answer if you have a large breed. Not sure I would spend the extra dough on it if I was fostering a large number of dogs though.

We give our Purina One. She loves it. We switch between chicken+rice flavor and salmon+tuna flavor when a bag runs out. A little cheaper than pro plan too.
