The Supreme Court Ruling this morning means we are ONE STEP CLOSER TO A NEW NCAA FOOTBALL GAME.

Go ahead and take my money. And give a portion to the college athletes.

I will never complain about paying players neither should any professed LSU fan.

We are a top 5 elite athletic department. We can pay with the best. If I were Nebraska or South Carolina or NC State maybe then I'd be worried

Just playing devil’s advocate but you do know college athletes already get paid right? No I don’t mean with a free scholarship either.

The ruling will further split the power teams apart from the average teams....

A good ruling for the players, but not a good ruling for college football, IMO.

It was a BS excuse for not producing the game from day 1.

If it was and is such a great game that was wanted by so many, they could have made it and used random nameless faceless players and continued to sell it.

There was no need to have a current player on the cover of the game.

What people do with the game as far as changing roster names and things, are not the responsibility of the creator.

Just end college football, return to club sports.

College football is just semi pro football, academics are a charade.

You know, there weren’t many student athletes complaining about not being paid because the video game character looked like them. In fact, most of them LOVED it and played the game religiously.

Until Ed Obannon, a bitter, broke, former student athlete saw his likeness in a basketball game while hanging out at his “homies” house playing video games.

This guy made millions in his short NBA career and has a net worth of $100,000. He was not as good of a basketball player as he thinks, and playing on a really good team wearing UCLA on his chest made him that money, not the other way around.

Again, frick people like him

I pay too much already. If this increases money for product, it may fall as bad as my NFL and Pro Sports interest. Be careful. We all have thresholds. TV money better pay for this crap.

I dont think this means what you think it means.

“ The decision allows schools to provide their athletes with unlimited compensation as long as it is some way connected to their education.”

If they're good enough to gain endorsement deals while in school, I'm okay with that. Paying them ON TOP of a scholarship is absolutely ridiculous. If they have a salary, they can pay their own way through school.

This could mean the end of ALL college sports as we know it. I'm not opposed to kids receiving compensation. However, the ramifications could be very significant.

Just let the top 1,000 players join a minor league that no one would watch and all other athletes can just be happy to play for their universities and receive a free education. I promise I won’t watch any less. These football and basketball players make less than the value of the services they provide, but many of them conflate how much people want to watch them with how much people just want to watch their team. It’s the reason we watch LSU baseball when we all know some of the minor league players are better.
