If you have kids, would you really ask them to walk away from their lives/families to come and take care you? I’m not talking inf visiting ….I’m talking 24/7?

I wouldn’t do that to my boys.

My grandparents (greatest generation) invested, saved, and budgeted for end of life care. My parents and in-laws (boomers) are investing, saving, and budgeting for end of life care. My wife and I (millennials) are investing, saving, and budgeting. Not yet explicitly for end of life care but just for life in general.

Saving is a habit taught.

People may very well be saying these daughters are selfish without ever having cared for someone before at this level.

If he’s walking, talking, feeding himself, etc, it’s not so bad. But often even if it’s not so bad at first, it can get to be terrible.

And if wife NEEDS to work for income reasons, who makes up the difference?

There I’m sure is a happy medium somewhere in here.
