Getting a new bow-suggestions greatly appreciated

I would go to a local shop with an array of brands and shoot every single one. I was dead set on a Prime bow a few years ago. Went in to the bow shop, shot it, and fell in love with it. While the bow tech was helping another customer, I grabbed an Elite off the shelf. Pulled it back, and immediately forgot about buying the Prime. It just felt better to me.

Go to several reputable archery shops with experienced sales staff. I would avoid BPS, Cabela's, Dicks, and other big box stores. Test drive as many bows possible and let the bow choose you. You will know when you find the right one. Regardless of the name brand, most companies make really nice high end bows with similar technology. Also, the most expensive bow is not always the best fit. My last word of advice, don't get sold on speed. Find a bow that is very comfortable (draw cycle, back wall, hold, follow through) and you can shoot consistently accurate.
