I just bought a bike and took it for a ride the other night. It’s scary as hell to be on a busy road with traffic. I kept pulling into every other parking lot to let cars pass and immediately cut into a non busy section because I’m not an a-hole and also because I don’t want to die.
I don’t see how those idiots just pedal and refuse to acknowledge that you’re in 2000 lbs of motorized metal right behind them.

i'm not a cyclist, but this is pretty much my take on it.
There are some things i would die for (this country used to be one of them), but to die on a bike because IT'S MY RIGHT, just doesn't seem like a hill to die on.

I am curious how we are supposed to acknowledge cars. A cyclist with a decent amount of miles on their legs knows the car is there. I hold my line, don't do anything unexpected and the car will pass me.
