Dropping his back shoulder.
As someone mentioned though, it's more the new baseball. It's all about trying to go deep. He's just barely missing but it results in pop ups. Looks like he tried to correct last night and over- corrected

Your back shoulder is supposed to drop when you swing. At least in elite hitters.

Nah it’s a timing thing with him. The way he rocks to time his swing. He has some issues with his feet too. Lot of moving parts creates inconsistent contact. He either hits low lying grounders or pop ups.

Granted most of his HRs were high fly balls. But launched at a better angle. That proved easier to do against lower tiered pitching
