It should have never had any significant infrastructure investment to begin with, the only reason it does is because it's cheap crappy land and when they build chemical plants no one wants to live by, they look for cheap land, people dumb enough to welcome the cancer, and the investment assumes it will only operate for 30 years so they can depreciate the bejesus out of it quickly and abandon/sell within a time period that it statistically has an ok chance of surviving through.

Yeah, because it has nothing to do with the fact that it's near water, and people haven't been settling near water for thousands of years.

Jesus Christ, it takes a miserable person to blame people for their own homes flooding, but here we are.

Why do people live where a tornado could drop out of the sky right on top of their home? Why do people live where they get blizzards and can freeze to death? Why do people live where forests are prone to burning?

4. Until Lake Charles gives up the real murderer at KK’s corner (we know who) God will bring his wrath down on Lake Charles.

It’s almost like their infrastructure is part of the blame.. I mean being so close to the coast and having a huge lake for the water to drain into you would think there’d be projects to prevent/reduce flooding. Do they have any on going projects related to water irrigation?

At this point we’re handing out inner tubes at Rouses.

The Ouiska Chitto approach has a 100% success rate. Don't downplay it.

Yah why would anyone build refineries near water. So stupid.

Those barges could run right into them!

I don’t understand
“Which brings me to advise you folk. NEVER, and I do mean NEVER park on the shoulder under an overpass hoping to escape bad weather. “

Why would parking on the shoulder be a bad idea?

That was the Ellender murders but it spilled over to KK's corner. He was no fan of Wayne.

When was the Houston flood? 2018? This shite happens everywhere. It’s really unfortunate paired with the recent hurricane.

There's no blame, I want them to be able to leave to be somewhere better/safer. It's risk mitigation. They shouldn't allow settlements in areas that will continue to flood. You can't correlate that with tornados or fires, it's not the same.

People who stay despite continual flooding are not making smart long term decisions. Has nothing to do with my luck, I had to go through a scare to come to the conclusion that I can and will remove that risk from my family's livelihood.

FEMA and insurance companies enabling them to rebuild are irresponsible.

The book Murder in the Bayou discusses the KKs corner murder and how it ties into the Jeff Davis 8 stuff. So many questions left unanswered.

Go ask CITGO how much money they lost due to weather related downtime last year. Also, all "near water" is not created equal. There is some crazy notion that people have to be in SW LA. They don't.

So what you are telling us is that all of humanity should flock to areas where there are no natural disasters. The Sahara is about to be lit.
