Only made a couple of pages but if Pacino in Donnie Brasco wasn’t mentioned, frick all y’all.

Pacino's character didn't die in Donnie Brasco. Pacino played Lefty, not Sonny Black. In real life Lefty Ruggerio was on his way to a meeting where he was probably going to be whacked but was cut off by the FBI.

All the mentions of Fredo but no one has brought up Sonny at the toll booth.

It's pretty much implied he was killed in the movie was it not? I know that's not how it happened in real life, but that's how I remember the end of the movie

It’s been a while since I saw it, but I thought Pacino’s character died of lung cancer?

I don't think it was resolved. The last time we see him he is leaving his valuables at home on his way to a meeting and he tells his wife that if Donnie calls to tell him if it had to be someone he was glad it was him, heavily implied he at least thinks he's on his way to his death

Yes - they gave Sonny Black's real life "story" to Lefty for the movie ending.

IRL, Sonny Black gave his watch, cash, ring, and keys to the apartment to take care of his pigeons, etc. to a bartender telling him, "I'm headed to a meeting and I'm probably not coming back." And he didn't come back from the meeting.

The FBI caught Lefty before he went to the same/similar meeting, confirmed everything about Donnie Brasco being undercover FBI agent Joe Pistone. While Lefty didn't go to the meeting, he didn't rat either and served 11 of 15 years before compassionate release due to terminal lung cancer.

Tommy’s last words were “Oh no”. He realized at the last second he was getting killed.

Yep, that is what the "oh no" was for.

Yeah, I havent seen it in forever but I believe it is pretty obvious that he was sent for. They are gonna kill him for being the one that brought Donnie in. There is a scene earlier in the movie where Pacino talks about getting "sent for" - that when you get the phone call you have to go. He says something about you go in alive, but come out dead. He mistakenly thought he was getting sent for earlier in the film, but the scene at the end of him leaving his valuables at home implies he REALLY got sent for this time.

Edit: just read Ace's write up a few post up. Good stuff

The dude coming out of the bathroom in the apartment after he empties his gun and misses Jules and Vincent when they retrieve Marcellus Wallace's briefcase.

In the movie? Yes, it was implied with him putting his jewelry in a drawer with his car keys and wallet and heading out the door for his final "Sit Down".

In real life, Lefty was picked up on the streets by Federal Agents who got word he was going to be clipped. He subsequently went on trial, then to prison.

In real life, Sonny Black was the one clipped and he had given his jewelry away to a friend, gave his keys to his place to someone with instructions to take down his pigeon coops and release his pigeons if he didn't show up in a few days time. It was said he even told his girlfriend Judy that "If Donny calls, tell him I'm glad it was him" since Sonny and Donny had a very close relationship while Pistone was undercover.

Pistone, in an interview, went so far as to say if Lefty had a cellmate while in prison, he felt bad for the guy since Lefty would not shut up and talked constantly.

Dammit. Came to post this, but you beat me too it.

So I’ll leave this when his “I’m dead and I know it” realization occurred.
