Why would he want to go to Tehas?
His mother mentioned academics as being most important to her.
Not to dog yall or Oklahoma, but we are the #1 choice in that respect.
If I were him, I'd look at yalls recent DT exploits in college and their pro translations, but unless youre just hating to hate, Texas is a great option for any football player.
I will say without quesiton that the SEC is the best football conference in the country, but the O-Lines in the Big 12 are every bit as good as in the SEC, and fewer run-first teams would make this guy a much more powerful performer at Texas. Plus, he would come in and start 4 years with us.
Would he also start 4 years at LSU? WHat is yalls D-Line situation for the future?

Not sure on the starting question, but he would form virtually the best DT combo in the nation beside of Chris Davenport. No one would be able to double team either of them

If McFarland and Davenport redshirted one could be starting by their RS freshman year and both could be starting by their sophomore year. It's an enticing choice.
We lose Favorite and Alexander this year. Then Woods and Jean-Francois next year. That leaves us with only Nevis as a DT that I think could beat out one of the two in Davenport/McFarland in 2010. Then Nevis leaves after 2010.

Good post, and our line is pretty senior laden. Especially if Francois enters the draft.
However, I've said over and pver we MUST land Sentimore. He will be just as good as Mcfarland, if not better.
