Just popped in to read last 2 pages. Looks like shooter still hasn't been identified.
I know the 1 thing i do hate about mass shootings is typically either one of 2 things happen. Either the guy commits suicide after shooting a bunch of people, or he decides to surrender peacefully to the police.
It feels like when the guy commits suicide, he is going out on his own terms, and in a way he won. Almost like he can die with a smile on his face knowing he succeeded. That really bothers me.
On the other side, I know it's technically illegal, but man, I'd love it if a mass shooter who just got done murdering people and all of a sudden wants to be peaceful in front of the police. I'd love it if an officer would just say frick it and onload on them. Don't even shoot them in the head. They deserve to feel pain

...I’d also proffer the incendiary rhetoric from media, news outlets, and lawmakers alike.
Plastering the perpetrator’s face all over tv doesn’t help either.

Very true, but it's sort of understandable for this one.
A witness said a man went to get his gun to try and stop the shooter, but was killed with it.
So I could understand how someone might have seen two people outside with guns.

And if it turns out to be a black shooter CNN will either stop all coverage of it or put blame on the boss. ( unless he’s also black).
