Well, judging by his bio, it doesn't seem like he was doing the work of a "legit" Political Director you would find at a national committee, big time state party, or campaign.

I worked for the LAGOP when I was maybe 19-20 and the Political Director was only a few years older than me. It’s pretty typical.

The LAGOP, much like the national GOP, is essentially neutered and dead. Just a place for political nerds to play politician and feel important while not actually accomplishing anything.
