I may be in the minority but I thought he struggled with the deep ball last year.

He definitely struggled with it, and that’s putting it lightly. Posters here refuse to acknowledge this and act like he’s QB1.

Brennan is the guy, and if max doesn’t get some SERIOUS improvement going, Nuss will be the guy when Brennan leaves.

I love Max but, damn he’s overrated on this board.

I dont think max is overrated.

I think he came in and did exactly what he's been taught his whole life.

He is smart, accurate, and can move. He knew the entire offense before getting to campus and it showed.

I love Brennen but he’s too slow and our 3 rd down conversion rate was horrible with him starting

It doesn't really sound like you do. Yes, he needs serious work on the deep ball because he was throwing some rainbows out there, but he actually threw a nice bomb in the 4th quarter of the Florida game deep into UF territory. He did everything else really well for a true freshman and helped win two games for LSU that LSU was not favored to win. And he did so without LSU's #1 WR, TE and without their starting RBs. 10 total TDs to 1 Int is pretty damn good when he was missing his best offensive weapons.

He has things to learn obviously, but each QB has his strengths and weaknesses. Brennan is tough, has a great arm and throws a pretty long ball, but his weakness is his running ability. So each QB brings different things to the table while having some things to work on.
