Does he have to transfer back in? Is that how all of this works? Sorry I'm not to well versed in the TP and am confused as to how this would all work and if he needs a scholarship.

I said my team because I am an alumni so sorry that that bothered you. Him joining the team is not going to make me not be a fan but I am choosing not to support it "my guy". My reasons are listed in the statement you quoted. Take it for what its worth, I could literally post your comment as a response to every single post thats ever been put on this board. You gave no justification or counter arguments to my claims. Every single person on this board knows they are guilty of hating on Arik when he bounced and Im watching y'all like dogs in heat drool at the prospect of his return. Let me know if you wanna actually wanna debate it "my guy", but given your first response i get the sense you got nothing to say.

One more thing "my guy". You responded to me as if you have talked to the team and know that they are on board with the return of Arik. Im sure some don't care, Im sure welcome him back, and Im sure some will be pissed. Were there not some pretty shady messages sent out by people in the TE room directed toward Arik when he announced his commitment to Florida? Are you people so naive to believe that the entire locker room is okay with him quitting on them and committing to a F'N RIVAL. I mean I don't have the inside scoop, but i don't think this is rocket science.

He doesn't have to transfer back because he never actually transferred out. But its also irrelevant because he wouldn't count against the 25 in either situation, only the 85. An athlete is only counted against a team's 25 limit once, and transferring doesn't effect that.

You can have your feminine morality: “Awww he quit the team once so I don’t like him” or “awww he opted out I hope he doesn’t get drafted” or “waahhh he’s talking to other schools”. save it. You’re the one acting like a woman. Pragmatism. Look it up. You play to win the game. Gilbert helps you win games.

You are the definition of a moron. Players do not win games, teams win games. You make it painfully obvious that you have never been apart of any sort of team. A team requires more than great players it requires a bond and bother-hood in the locker-room. This team began to gel upon the exit of this "great player" that is going to help us win games. Cough cough we were 3-5 with him. You are ready to risk that bond over a F'N TE. We went 2-0 without the guy and all the sudden we cant win without him. You are a joke, i get the just you one of these dudes sucking these recruits off on twitter.
Also i could sense your emotions through my computer screen, very lady like that you are unable have a rational conversation with someone you disagree with. Pretty common thing among this fan base.

You truly said a whole lot of nothing. A debate is also meaningless in this context as again it changes nothing and our opinions mean nothing. EYE for one was never critical of Arik and have actually defended him so stop there. Only “counter” that is needed for your “claims” is that in retrospect, they mean nothing. If Arik does in fact return and balls out, you’ll be cheering. If he doesn’t come, you’ll still be cheering. You saying how you feel is pointless. You act as if you’re the only alum here which is also pointless to outline. At the end of the day, I trust O, Peetz and Mangas over anyone on here. They make millions for this and care about the players while posters have uninformed opinions

Who exactly wouldn’t want him back? LOL McGlothern publicly recruited him back. He’s very close with Eli. He makes the offense and team better. Only way people would be “pissed” is if he gets preferential treatment and starts immediately which won’t happen. You saying you don’t have the inside scoop but making that assumption is asinine. We don’t know how close these kids are and what they went thru. They literally played together as TRUE freshmen and sophomores in the toughest conference in America during a pandemic. You’re right this isn’t rocket science at all

Team went 3-4 with Marshall too lol don’t see that narrative transpiring. It’s ironic that you’d mention a “F’N TE” as to show he isn’t super significant while also blaming him for us being 3-5. No one said we can’t win without him. But having a generational talent at TE/WR/Slot makes it easier for EVERYONE.

Isnt this board about dicussing news and stating opinions? If you have such a strong belief in our unproven coaches get your information from 24/7 or dandy don. Lmao just reread that one time. I never once made any sort of insinuation or assumption that he will start or not. But you are assuming that he will not get preferential treatment or start immediately without the inside scoop. Interesting.
