Stupid leftist gonna stupid leftist.

Repealing an amendment requires 2/3 of the House, 2/3 of the Senate and 2/3 of all state legislations.

Why would PR want to be a state. We send them all the money they need and they pay no taxes.

But if they did what would be the process? Do the other states have a say?

Only if they play by the rules and we know they don't do that.

YouTube: supposedly about El Chupacabras

I like myths and legends and thought this YouTube channel entertaining. Until the gal professor decided to get political at minute marker 3:50 when she cheerfully chirps out a "fun fact" about PR SHOULD be a state.

gal professor can sure taste those two D senators now can't she?

The professor population dragging in politics into everything makes me retch.

one of the comments:

"Since you brought it up. Puerto Rico has had an open qualification for statehood for decades. It is the people of Puerto Rico themselves who keep repeatedly voting against it, sometimes by landslide margins. When I've talked to actual Puerto Ricans about it, they basically say, "It's our thing. You don't have to understand.""

the so-called "supreme" court has already shown they're not up to the task of upholding the rule of law, what makes you think they won't side with the CommuLeft on this as well

What makes you think they care what the Constitution says? They just openly stole an election and broke numerous laws doing it.

This is child's play compared to what they just got by with.

Puerto Rico would fit right in line with Congress. Puerto Rico is the most corrupt territorial government in the US. PREPA the worst electrical utility in the US and the territories.....

When you sit down with the Board of PREPA and three of the people on the board are relatives of the Governor ..... No wonder the entire system looked like spaghetti after the hurricane.

Then you need to pay better attention. They voted yes on statehood in November of 2020.

easiest fix is to send all non federal property back to Maryland (just like they did all DC territory south of Potomac to Virginia.

Maryland would get another house seat but California or NY would likely lose a rep...

senators stay the same.

and if i am Maryland, i would sue to have the territory back as they gave it up contingent on the area becoming DC

EDIT: average house district population is 711.000 and the polulation of DC is around 693,000

and california and NY is predicted to lose one or two districts from this census. this would likely push them over the threshold to lose another

EDIT #2: and then you would lose 3 EC votes and the ability to tie in the presidential election, which is a win win
