He's done a great job for the defense in planting seeds of doubt.

In a nutshell the prosecutor is saying " ignore the testimony " and its the cops fault for not listening to Floyd and trying to take him to jail.

Like I said earlier in this thread, attorneys in most DA offices aren't exactly the cream of the legal crop.

So what do you think will end up happening.

Heck the black prosecutor had never tried a criminal case before.

Those motherfrickers are going to riot and loot no matter what the verdict is.

To be honest its hard to say. If you went by just testimony and these closing arguments I would say Chauvin would be going to Disneyland next week BUT I know the riots and previous media bias is going to come into play but how much who knows.

The prosecution seems to think being under arrest should be a negotiation
Nelson should be monitoring TD, and make this the absolute theme of his closing..... should use the line 5-10x in his closing. Dead serious (no pun intended)

So as an attorney that has tried murder cases are you as embarrassed over the prosecution closing as I am?
Posted on 4/19/21 at 10:29 am to TigersSEC2010
This is what I think.... the jury IMO will somehow be swayed by the possibility of riots....

What is Chauvin writing and for what? Are these supposed to be notes to give to his attorney before he starts his closing argument?
Whether acquitted or convicted, my guess would be notes for the future book/movie deal.

I’d hate to be on that jury...can you imagine the outrage at them personally if he gets acquitted? They’d have to go into witness protection program.

Prosecutor just said Floyd had a drug tolerance but the gf testified that they were sold pills that were not what they thought they were so exactly what drug did Floyd have a high tolerance for?

I would think Vegas would have the odds on a conviction of some sort...Here's how I see it right now:
Will Chauvin be convicted
60% yes
20% no
20% hung
If convicted odds of most severe convicted charge:
70% Manslaughter, 2nd degree
25% 3rd degree murder
5% 2nd degree murder
