Is that accurate though? I believe the peak of intravenous is 5 minutes. I find it hard to believe that oral with first pass would be the same? I administer fentanyl IV daily. If a pt receives too much they don't yell I can't breathe. They just go out.

None of this means I have a strong opinion about the trial...just curious on the medical info given.

You have to keep in mind, Saint Floyd had compounding issues. Cardiovascular disease, Covid, the amount of fentanyl+meth he ingested on top of an elevated heart rate and adrenaline spike for getting arrested/resisting. The knee on the neck was not what killed him. Hundreds of people are controlled like that and don’t die. But people like drinking that MSM koolaid.

All that may very well be true, but pharmacokinetics doesn't really follow the media or political beliefs.

Well your issue is with the expert then. That’s from his testimony.

Correct. The gentleman I replied to has fairly extensive knowledge of the aforementioned subject. It was a legit question seeking explanation of the science. Not saying the expert is wrong, just that it doesn't mesh with the anecdotal evidence I see daily.

You seem to have some knowledge on the subject. Would the fact that he had an elevated heart rate help the drugs get into his system faster? I know cocaine doesn’t take that long to see the full effect and it’s not nearly as potent as fentanyl. And keep in mind, this isn’t the same fentanyl administered by health professionals.

Fascinating case, and I'm starting to get obsessed.

The Floyd case, the Arbery case, and the Breonna Taylor case are all fascinating cases with many elements.

The Arbery case has the elements of citizen arrest, stand your ground, and self-defense. The Taylor case has the element of no-knock warrants and the Castle Doctrine.

PS Is he guilty or not? I am not reading 293 pages. Please tell me if I am going to have to riot or not. I do know there will be looting already.

It is faster than I would expect but the point is the prosecutions witness had 5 minutes in his written report and he stated it again on the stand. The timeline Nelson painted was almost perfect.

I think the truth is Floyd had a good bit of fentanyl already in his system and took another huge dose when he tried to swallow all the pills when he was first approached by the cops.

My guess is that half of a pill was later spit out when he was struggling in the back of the cop car. So yea it would have been longer than 5 minutes, maybe more like 10, if he took the pills right before being approached by the first cop.

fricked up situation.

It is...

All because Floyd had an addiction..

198 Americans die per day to Opioid overdose...but this was caught on camera with a cops knee to the back of the neck because the victim would not calm down and comply.

In Portland...they stopped arresting drugged out people....instead they let them defecate sidewalks in broad daylight right in front of businesses.

Everything that could have gone wrong that day, did. Very sad. Let's all agree on one thing. Drugs are bad and there's never a happy ending if the person doesn't stop using.

Dr Baker, the ME who performed the initial autopsy is testifying. I’m not sure who else is.

The riots are on no matter the outcome. They will be either rage riots or celebration riots.
