hey thanks for the update. Im flying from new orleans to tampa on friday and returning sunday moning. it was only 198 bucks total. i love southwest .com and tampa airport!!!!

student going... cheapest way- drive there and sleep in your car (with the engine off and windows down.)

I'm going to. My group of frinds each got the student ticket and we got rooms in Gainseville. Heading up that Thurs since it is Fall Break.

If there is anybody out there that DOES have tickets and are not going....i'll buy them cause I live just 25 miles from gainesville and I would love to go in your stay .

I'm going too! Flying into Tampa Thurs. night out of NOLA. Staying with friends (and fellow LSU alums) in Tampa. We're all driving to Gainesville Saturday a.m. We got tickets for $210 each.

I'll fly to Orlando and drive. Tolls amount to $2.50 each way. Staying in G'ville with relatives. I've flown into Jax. It's a pretty cool airport and in & out time is much quicker than Orlando. Speed traps usually as you near G'ville though so watch out. Tampa traffic is way too much for me. Hope the game is as good as in '06!!!!

I'm flying to Tampa, got an air/car deal for almost nothing.
Same as in 2006 but I did get caught in a land/air speed trap on the Friday going in. Plane was spotting and probably a dozen or so state troopers were picking us out as we drove by. I had to wait in a line to receive my ticket
So watch out for that.
So my $200 travel package just about doubled with that little surprise.

FL highway patrol acts like it's a military state. Use a designated driver and don't speed. They love to set traps on I-75.
