few times a week since the stroke

This is me. That person who posted above you that he only did so every 3 years or so better be careful as he gets older. That's exactly how I was and last year my blood pressure got so high a blood vessel in my brain ruptured and fricked me up pretty good.

If I had been having it monitored better it wouldn't have happened at all. As it is I've just been able to return to work a couple weeks ago but I'm still not 100% and the stroke was 8 months ago.

Keep a check on that stuff folks, you'll be glad you did

I have two BP monitors, and I check mine a lot. It can be anywhere from 110/65 to 130/85 according to when I take it. After about 20 takes over a period of time it averages out to about 120/80.

I've got a bad case of white coat syndrome. Every single time for the last 35 years if in a doctors office, it registers ridiculous off the charts like 220 over 110. They want to always call code blue and rush me to emergency. They ask if I'm dizzy or have a headache....nope.

After a few years, a doc suggested the wife take it for me at home or outside of a clinic or Doctor's office. It ALWAYS comes in at like 125-135 over 70 or something in that neighborhood.

They even put "White Coat" in my records, so they don't freak out when I go for a checkup or procedure or something.

Really weird.....

I'm the same exact way. I can't stand people touching me, and I get nervous as hell at the doctor. It always is like 150/100, while my machine at home had it at like 118/75 or something. When Covid came around last March, and they said HBP was a major factor on death or serious illness, I decided to buy a new BP monitor to make sure my other one was correct. I got so nervous when I first took it on the new one thinking it would be high, and it was like at the doctor around 150/95. After I sat around for a while it got down to 125/80. Both monitors register me about the same, so they are correct. I just have white coat syndrome.

I had been feeling shitty for a couple of months almost every day. But now that I know what I’m feeling, I’ve had spells that last a few hours for a couple years.

I had a panic attack and got the BP to 207/110 so I had to go to the emergency room. Thought I was having a heart attack, but was not.

5mg of Lisinopril and it’s under control for the most part. I check it once or twice every few weeks

i take 20 olmasarton, 30mg of nefedipine and hztz water pill because nefedipine is a calcium blocker and normally would make my feet swell...the water pill gets rid of swelling

blood pressure just was 139/85 but mine is always higher in the mornings because i sleep like shite. in the evenings i am much lower like 124/75

ive been keeping logs in morning and night to give to my dr for the last 6 weeks

113/82 this morning. No need for me to check it later today. Though I probably will, and it’ll probably be higher thus making me anxious. Story of my life

20 minute appointment with a doc and he’ll give you a pill. It’ll be back to normal range in a few hours. You’ll feel great. Don’t wait.

Don't want to start any new meds but went into the clinic this morning and it was 124/84.

The high reading was from a wrist machine coupled with pain from recent dental work and stress.
