1 night, I randomly was getting all bananas on the nose and palate with a pour of OF 1920.

I get bananas on all Brown-Forman products (Jack, OF, and Woodford).

I get grape candy on some Buffalo Trace products.

Is there a bourbon that y'all find easier to pick up tasting notes than others?

It’s random for me. I rarely can identify a particular note, but I do get it sometimes. I have got banana on old forester, peanut butter on Jack barrel strength, cherry coke on one release of bookers and I’ll pick up apple and vanilla on some scotch and Irish. Other than that I can get a general idea of groups (fruity, nutty, etc) but that’s about it. My palate just isn’t that acute I guess

This...I just cant tell. Smack smack dried apricot...smack smack slow roasted Columbian coffee bean...smack smack sous vide raspberries

Every now and then I might tho. I remember getting some cherry flavor from bookers 25. Maybe some vanilla type of flavors here and there. Oak depending on the age. Das about it.

PSA for those who are going to get the Four Roses pick from Calandro's. The line has already started, east side doors of the store.

It's only just now started? I might have to make the drive from the northshore

That's what was posted on IG at around 9:50. I'm assuming people have probably saw the post and headed out there.

My wife went for me she said they sold out. She had about 10 people in line in front of her when they sold out. They must have started early.

They gave out tickets to everyone in line about 45 minutes ago. I'd imagine once they gave out all the tickets they let people start buying.

I showed up around 10:30 and was ~40th person in line. Met a few really cool folks. Reckon I'm going to pony up for a BRBS membership soon.

That's me, brother. Was a pleasure. Grabbed my bottle, checked the shelf for anything else of interest, paid, and headed back north.

I'll see you at a future meetup tho. Looking forward to it.

I love how you all sent your wives into the arctic to wait for your bottles
