Felt lucky to be alive today

Just walking around the job site, I turned the corner and it hit me. Gods allowing me to walk on this earth right now free and clear. There for a moment I just appreciated it more.

I felt that way on Jan 5. Tested positive for the Rona and it was gone 3 days later. I am 55 with hypertension and dad bod. Sucker for the Rona hit squad.

I just got a text that my best friend from college had an incident at work and was flown to the U of I hospital in Iowa City with burns.
That is all his wife knows she is headed there now but has a several hour drive to get there.
Both this and that are good reminders nothing is promised.
