Coach O needs to be taught on how to communicate information via the media like his players. This is about the 5th time or more he said things to the media that was unnecessary within the past eight months. See below:

1. Showing support for Governor Bel Edwards and standing by his side at an event. That upset many Republicans and Democrats as for who team he was on back then. You cannot be on both sides of the fence.

2. Publicly supporting the President on national tv via Fox News. That was a slap in many of his players’ face. This was the first occurrence of losing the locker room.

3. A Spring Practice football comment to the local media: “Coach Pelini”s defense is better than last year’s defense.” That was a direct shot at former Coach Aranda who helped him win his first National Championship. That was LOW!

4. Pretending to know nothing about a BLM walk among some players and coaches to the local media. Now he lost the locker room. When you have some former players’ you recruited chimed in on you for your silence, that is not good. Coach O prevailed at the end.

5. Then announcing his top OC and DC candidates to the media - his power went to his head. Anyone that accepts the DC job knows he was not equally appraised as Coach Freeman. That action will cost LSU to overpay for a DC going forward.

No business man or an CEO plays his hand that way to the media or anyone. He has gotten burned several times by showing his arrogance.

I want to see the man successful, but he is creating his own drama via his mouth. Last note, one year during Coach O’s radio show, someone mentioned Halloween was forthcoming and he replied, “Halloween, I did not even know that it was this week.” Man you are not working that damn hard not to know, see or hear people discuss Halloween during the week.

He needs to work on sounding more believable before he is not taken serious anymore. Get it together, Coach O.
