No, you lunatic. It's called hypocrisy. Did any of the protestors mob up and beat security, congressmen or anyone else in that capital building half to death yesterday? Did they set the building on fire? Did they hurl Molotov cocktails at the Capital security? Did they loot, pull the paintings off the walls, run out the back door with valuable antiques? Did they pull statues down and paint them with graffiti? Did they find counterprotestors and shoot them dead in the street?

THAT'S a riot. What happened on the 6th were a mixture of rabble-rousers and very pissed off people who feel they have no voice walking mostly unimpeded into a federal building and knocking over a few chairs, breaking a window or two and an unarmed lady was shot dead for that. I have no problem taking the protest towards those who deserve it - Congress. That's their job and they are public servants. No violence was committed toward any of them. Yet those like you were silent while PUBLIC CITIZENS were brutalized by mobs all summer long in the name of anger toward police. Leftist politicians actually applauded these atrocities and helped bail out the offenders. So, again, save your bullshite outrage. You are a hypocrite and it falls on deaf ears.

It will intensify as the left refuses to offer any sort of olive branch. They simply double down. Antifa involvement in the "mob" "rioting". No focus on underlying cause. All I see are attacks and ad hom after ad hom.

The entire concept of whataboutism is so stupid. It's essentially a free pass for whichever side does a bad thing first and refuses to accept responsibility for it then when called out by the other side. Because, inevitably, tables get turned and the other side does a similar bad thing, and the side which had previously gotten away with it and defended their actions are suddenly outraged at the behavior, only to draw the very obvious and righteous accusations of a double standard. And the first group's defense? "Ah....you won't defend your own actions, you have to start asking 'what about that?'" Um, yeah...because otherwise there are two sets of rules. The ones YOU get to live by, and the ones WE'RE forced to live by...and inevitably one set is far more lenient.

Basically, whataboutism is just a lame attempt at getting away with an obvious double standard.
