I don't get this guy. On Instagram he's proud that you still can't walk in the deli and sit and eat.

Used to love to go to the back room and browse the beer selection. But if I can't walk in the damn business then frick that I'll go to Sav n Time or Elios or 504 Craft or.........

It’s the same thing but congrats on performing the mental gymnastics required to pretend you aren’t just as big of snowflakes as the woke left.

It's not.

Choosing to not spend your own money somewhere is in no way equal to actively advocating for someone to be fired or a place to be shut down.

The right is constantly bitching about cancel culture while simultaneously having a never ending list of things to boycott. Is anything left for you guys besides Walmart and a handful of shitty diners?

I will gladly eat at that shitty diner vs some hipster overpriced joint that tries to force their political view upon me. If there was no sign supporting blm etc I would probably still eat there but you make your view out in the open I will definitely spend my money elsewhere. Liberalism is a disease and I do what I can to not support business aligned that way. I also try and shop local even if it costs me a few more bucks as I know it helps out our small town.

I am sure you think civil and uncivil discourse are the same thing per your comment.

Nope. Theres tons of places i dont agree with their politics and i still shop there. But then again, i dont let politics rule my life.

Well, some people actually have beliefs they feel strongly about. Now most people don't care what other's politics are. I don't care if you believe something differently than me. We aren't all the same and that's fine. However, what most people don't care for is some asshat openly pushing his beliefs on others, and being confrontational about it. When that happens, people like me will simply write that person off and avoid their establishments. As others said, it's a rather dumb thing to do, is to push your beliefs if you are in the service industry, especially in N.O., where thousands of restaurants are competing for customers. Well, if i have so many options, why would i patronize a place that states, "if you don't like my politics, i don't need your business"? He's right, he won't have mine, or others business.

Just like that asshat over at courtyard, play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

Black Lives Matter says all whites are racists. Why would any business supporting BLM want whites business in the 1st place? Don’t support racism. Don’t be a hypocrite. Go all in. Good times ahead.

Looks like the leaders of a few local grocers are next. Rouse’s and Breaux Mart’s owners are being called out. Pretty entertaining Twitter thread, if you have the time

See, this is an attempt at cancel culture. These people didn't post anything on their company pages, no signs in stores, etc. This is different than someone choosing to not patronize a business that says point blank, "don't agree with me, I don't need you."

Or maybe I'm misunderstanding Lamar white Jr's intentions.

Yeah, it's completely different. You have to go out of your way to find out the political beliefs of these folks, you don't walk into Rouses or Breaux Mart and see signs espousing their beliefs. But, the "other side" will state that it's the same.

Yep, he just did. It's not at all, though, and he pretends to not get that - a lot of them do. Watch.

Adolfo’s personal Twitter brought a lot of heat to his businesses last week. The lines are blurry. I think the trick is, you gotta put “views are my own” in your Twitter bio in order to absolve your company from your personal takes

Right or wrong, Donnie Rouse’s views are going to be associated with Rouses and Barry Breaux’s with Breaux Mart. It’s sad that this is where we are at

Dancing on a guy's grave is a little different than attending a protest, but that's a fair point.

Same here. That said, the “rules” that applied to Adolfo and his businesses or Carrollton Market should apply in this instance. Doubt anyone here bothers leaving fake 1 star reviews for Rouses or Breauxmart though.

You let me know when Rouses or Breaux Mart have political messages all over their businesses and tells people with other opinions they aren't needed and I'll agree.

Rouses is catching plenty of shite for this pic, so not really sure what point you think you're making
