Is anyone else suspicious of an OC who needs, or even wants, a "passing game coordinator?" Yeah, Brady was awesome, but do we really want to chase that rainbow?

Alot of pros and cons to Harrell, and they're all extreme. His upside is sky high, but he could also be a real dud. As long as the running game/offensive line was taken care of, Harrell and Calloway could completely castrate defenses. I'd be nervous about the running game and protection if he didn't have great support. We have the personnel on the field, but I worry about his style (and experience) without really strong surrounding staff.

USC was last in the Pac 12 in rushing with 96 yards a game and barely over 3 yards a carry. Harrell system is extremely finesse and not much creativity or success at all when they do decide to run it. They’ve also been a pretty terrible red zone team. Hope he’s planning on changing that in a big way if he’s gonna come here.

Why hire someone if you want them to change?

What does Creativity in the running game mean?
Tigers generally are in a 1 back set and run IZ, OZ, or power....seems like a lot of our creativity is based off RPOs and reading the box, along with getting some/any kind of movement from the o line.

Homerun hire if true. He’s young and hungry. Also USC pipeline just gets a little stronger.

So hopefully you let Cregg get through the February signing period, then allow the New OC to bring in a new OL coach/run game coordinator... just a thought

Hearing he really impressed. Couple more to go, but he may be the early leader

I’m convinced Orgeron is trying to get himself fired. Why go for someone that is air raid thru and thru and doesn’t like balancing things out running the football while meshing with pass? USC is dead last in rushing yards in their conference btw. It’s a flashy finesse offense that won’t bold well in the sec!!!

I follow SC closely. Most SC fans don't like Harrell, they think his offense is soft. I think they'd be glad to have him left.

Somebody having a great interview is a completely idiotic reason to hire in football.

In everyday life, it matters. However in sports, you have statistical data to help you understand what they do well and not so well.

Graham is slick talking guy... but his offenses aren’t creative. He just borrows from other mediocre coaches who run the same gimmick offense.

“Could do worse” is absolutely a ridiculous way to approach your fandom.

Hire a coach who knows how to run the damn ball. You still have to establish the ground game in this conference to win.

We melt.. because this is a gimmick hire. Flash without substance.
