True, but the studios behind every Elder Scrolls and Fallout game could handle it just as well.

So basically just another buggy game

I’ve been playing on the second to hardest difficulty, and it’s been a learning curve. The game rewards stealth and punishes aggression.

I'm finding the opposite to be true. I keep trying to do stealth but I get seen and just blast through everyone very easily.

It’s perfectly playable on PS4. Is it full of bugs and texture issues? Sure, but still playable.

I just switched over to my PS5 though and it has been smooth as butter for me.

I think you'd fit the definition of fanboi.

You've been defending this steaming pile for days now. The more videos I watch, the more I realize this game is damn near in full blown alpha testing mode. It's unacceptable that a company put this out.

Once I figured out just how hard it is to be seen outside of cameras, I make it a game to see how far I can push it before I get "caught".

Seriously, if this was played like Hitman Absolution, you'd rarely even enter combat.

Why not? Did you have to reboot Cyberpunk 76 again?

Current issue is that the max game file size is 8mb. If it goes beyond that, game becomes corrupted and you can no longer play it. That means long play times, and crafting-heavy characters are an issue. If you're crafting to make money or level up, you're likely screwed. CDPR's response to this - stop playing side stories, and play straight through to finish and start a new character.

Well, I will say that despite the mountain of technical issues and several lackluster gameplay systems, I'm still having fun playing it. I wish it were a little bit more challenging and that the systems actually made me feel my character RPG progression.

If you ignore the technical stuff it's certainly not a bad game, but it's definitely not anything remarkable either.

I still think most people should hold off a few months when hopefully they've finished or polished some of the lacking areas. For anyone who enjoys GTA style games, they'll enjoy it. But if you're expecting anything spectacular you're going to need to adjust your expectations.

Wat? This is what makes it a bad game.

JFC.

This (being unable to play past the end of the story) was a major bitch about Fallout 3 years ago that Bethesda had to patch to fix because people were so pissed. And this is CDPR’s solution to bad coding?

That's a completely fair opinion and also why I advise anyone who asks about it to wait at least a few months to try it out.

It's running mostly passable for me at this point (but I am very forgiving of things like framerates and subpar textures and shite) but it will bother others more on average.

The city is massive and depending on the time of day it is full of cars and people.

Fantastic graphics and atmospheric effects.

I've played the PC version for about 70 hours. I don't see how they thought this game would work even with low graphics on consoles.

I'm getting under 60FPS with an I-9 10900k with a 2080TI.

Console don't have a chance in hell of playing this game. On PC there are piles of graphical glitches, poor driving AI, worse cop AI but at the end of the day, I love the game. I'm still having a blast.

Just want to reiterate that I am playing it on the xbox series S and have ran into just that audio issue I posted about before. Game has been a blast to play but I agree most people should wait a few months to play it.

By then you can get the next gen consoles easier.

Glad you are able to enjoy the game on console but most people would probably be pissed at the frame rates. Under 30fps isn't smooth enough for the average player. I've seen some pretty brutal videos with console footage.

I've been lucky so far. I haven't seen too many crazy things.

I did have a quest breaking bug yesterday on a cyberpsycho quest. I used double jump to get to the location and ended up coming from the back of the event and not the front so some dialog didn't happen and the quest bugged out. After about an hour of looking around I gave up and reloaded an earlier save and went in through the front gates, and sure enough I got some different dialog and the cyberpsycho spawned.

I've also noticed that at a certain point, I start seeing artifacting all over the place like I'm in A Scanner Darkly. Once that happens you have to close the game and reopen it and everything is back to normal.

At the end of the day, I am going to have thoroughly enjoyed the game and probably play close to 200 hours but I can't recommend until they clean things up with patches.

I had 2 crashes on the PS5, but other than that it’s been pretty good except for random little glitches that most games have.

My nephew is staying with us throughout the holidays and I bought him the Xbox Series S and this game and he has had no crashes at all.

Aggression has gotten easier now that I’ve leveled up some and gotten better weapons. But at first I was getting owned when I started a fight.

A straight stealth run through on this game would be so tedious.

Didn’t the Witcher also have lots of issues at launch. Seems to me they just need more time before releasing a buggy unfinished product. I plan to hold off playing until I have a PS5 anyway, but with the feedback I’ll revisit how it’s going in a year or so

It's a shame that they use patches as a crutch. I get that after 7 years or so they had to bring this to market. We may be at a point where the gaming industry has to reinvent itself to put these types of games out
