Nice moments by JaMarcus in week 2. He showed poise in the pocket and confidence standing back there. Looks like he's developing a nice rapport with tight end Zach Miller (from Arizona State). I think those two will be hooking up for touchdowns many many times over the years.

Check it out ...

Awesome throw at the 1:17 mark. Damn. It looked bad on the sideline view but the north/south view showed just how awesome that throw was.

wow. That TD catch by Miller was amazing. And what a throw as well... the only place it could have been put.

I was trying to be funny b/c of some of the fools on the Rant

IMHO, JR will turn out to be the greatest LSU QB to ever play in the NFL

he looks even more elusive

Arguably the most intimidating and imposing QB figure EVER. An athletic 6-6 guy with arguably the greatest arm ever.

Rather quiet on the JR hatin' front. Where are all the haters at? Guarantee if he had a subpar game they would be out in full force with their I told you so's that JR will not be a successful NFL QB. I guess they are waiting to pounce when he throws his next interception.

They must be busy on the Flynn is a great NFL QB threads. I think maybe one showed up though, claiming JR passes places his receivers in dangerous positions???????????? Amazing!

i think he'll have a decent season, but next year is big for him. OAK is just a year away from anything great.

I would love to see them pick up some WR's.

mixed so far. has had one long run but it was against a prevent pass defense. We'll know more about him next week. He hasn't done anything overly impressive, he hasn't done anything absolutely terrible.

in watching the game, i thought JR looked much better when they finally allowed him to throw the ball downfield instead of some dinks and dunks.

just a comment about all the pro/anti JR sentiment. it seems to me there are some folks out there that have some unnatural disdain for JR....and then there is another group of people who seem to think that he is the second coming and can do no wrong.

i don't understand why someone could dislike JR when he was an excellent player for the tigers and has, at least to my knowledge, never done anything to make the university look bad.

why would a LSU fan want to bash a former tiger, or want him not to have NFL success?

on the other hand, i also think there are some folks who insist that if you don't just totally accept that JR was the best QB ever at LSU there is something wrong with you.

JR is the most physically gifted QB i have ever seen play at LSU, and certainly belongs in the argument for being the best ever. i can only go by stories of bert jones and ya tittle's days at LSU.

he won a lot of games for the tigers. there were also some games that, at least in my opinion, he made poor plays or decisions that hurt the team. i am sure that miami dolphin fans could say the same exact thing about dan marino, a player they hold in high regard.

tittle never won a championship himself, but is in the NFL Hall of Fame.

based on "two partial preseason games" i think it is a bit premature to but JR in....on the other hand i also think it would be a little quick to dismiss him from doing it too.

After JaMarcus was drafted by the Raiders I made a $50 bet with a friend that the Raiders would go to the Superbowl (but not necessarily win) within 5 years.

I think he will be successful, doesn't mean he reaches the SB though. Need OL, WR on his side of the ball plus the D seems old. and al davis is still in charge so I dont think I woulda made that wager

yes, the Raiders will not surround him with enough talent....and won't stop overpaying for those that they do sign.
