Sorry but Offensive football is not unlike strategic games. You need to be thinking many moves ahead and not one play at a time. Our coaching staff needs help.

I do believe Coach E has been bashed more than he should have been. Truly believe he is a hell of a coach who (because of an unusual year: COVID, loss of 35 Players, and 3 coaches) has been blamed for trying to build a good offense when it takes building an entire team first! Team work!
I will bet not one player or coach views him as anything but an excellent coach!
I’m sure Brady and Munoz would even say he did most of the play calling last year. Coach E doesn’t seem to be the guy who needs to hog the spotlight. He coaches bc he loves it and is damn good at it.
We are rebuilding! Name a team that lost more players and coaches at one time. You can’t.

As good as Brady was he inherited a perfect situation He would have had struggles with this offense as well but I do think he would have adjusted more in a&m game
100%. Brady did inherit the PERFECT situation, and he knew when to leave! The team last year was set up for anyone to come in a win with Coach E. He left us with a bunch of puzzle pieces to put together bc no one worked with the talent of these freshmen.

I believe he was making the point that the young quarterback was made comfortable because the OC constructed a game plan according to the young quarterbacks experience and capabilities.
Based on the results, I believe the quarterback has a better understanding than the ranters.
Well he also said we couldn’t still be fans if we disagreed.

Are you arguing that it’s impossible for the coaching staff of an LSU football team to ever make mistakes or that it’s just against the rules to point them out?
This is why everyone hate's pumpers.
Pointing out obvious flaws and shortcomings that are easily avoidable or fixable and all of a sudden "yOU aREn'T a TrUE fAn".

Do NOT think it is a weird post at all ! Think it is something that you fair-weather fans need to read and read again and if you are not a total moron take to heart. Coach O may not be the greatest play-planner/caller in history but he IS THE COACH OF THE DEFENDING NATIONAL CHAMPIONS and has done a phenomenal job of getting a team of nineteen-twenty year olds to a possible 5-5 season in the toughest division in the toughest conference in college football !!!

Calling out Ensminger's CALLS is not calling out his gameplan.
He had a nice gameplan going in, there's absolutely no disputing that. And he got handcuffed some in the second half when we lost both Emery and Davis-Price (I think Emery is done btw. That looked like a dislocated shoulder).
The PLAYCALLING in-game, on the other hand, was a disaster. I pointed it out in another thread, and will repeat it here:
Timeouts. We lost points on the field, and almost lost the game, due to play-calling and timeouts.
Drive to start the 2nd half- we pushed down to inside the Gator 2 or so, and Curry was waving his arms to get a play in and run it. We were running over them inside while on tempo, QB sneaks were getting 2-3 yds, as was inside handoffs, all drive long. If we line up and run a play without a huddle, that's a TD and a 31-17 lead. We call TO, which allows Fla to settle down and get organized. Looks like he still got in, but we get the holding call. And for some reason, we had to call TO and get out of another play, which people think was an end-around (playing INTO Fla's speed, and away from our straight-ahead advantage).
Final drive: you can't say it enough, this was HORRIBLE. No if's, and's or but's about it.
We had the ball, 1st down at their 40, with 47 seconds to go. We had 2 timeouts, they had 3, the score was tied, and we were on the margin of FG range.
We were in position to cause them to either burn all 3 TO's and get the ball back with less than a minute and no TO's; or to run the clock down to the last play, and kick to win/go to OT.
1st down- 2 yd loss on a run, WE call TO. Makes no sense. If you run, you are angling for burning clock/opponent's TO. Florida likely would have if we hadn't beat them to the call.
2nd down- run for 4 yds, obviously we are playing for a FG. We are making Florida call a timeout... no, WE call another, and our last one at that.
So not only are we NOT making Florida call timeout or run clock, we've just used our last TO prior to 3rd down, making the FG attempt a potentially rushed affair. We can't stop the clock, so we're going to have to run on the field and get organized and set, in a hurry, for a 50+ yd kick.
3rd down- run a passing play, 1 yd loss. We risk stopping the clock, thankfully that didn't happen. We still moved backwards, a sneak would have been a lot better move.
Florida finally calls a timeout of their own, thinking we either miss and they get a short field, or we make it and they get time to try to tie it.
4th down, we make the kick.
Florida gets the ball with 23 seconds AND 2 TIMEOUTS. Because they have those timeouts, they can use the middle of the field. Otherwise, they'd be FORCED to sidelines, or Hail Mary (which honestly scared me).
1st play, 15 yds to sideline, stopped clock with 17 seconds on their own 40. Maybe without TO's we would have covered the sidelines more...?
2nd play, 18 yds over the middle, to the 42, 10 seconds left. No timeouts means they have to rush to line up and spike it, at what would be a 59 yd kick. At that point, we've given up "a chance", but no worse than what we had, and that was a school record on our part. But because they had 2, they not only stop it there, they have time for 1 more play. Not quite enough for a shot at the endzone, thankfully.
3rd play, 9 yd pass to the 33, timeout with 2 seconds left. Basically perfect for them- they move to 51 yds, which is "you should make this kick". Their kicker has made 4 50+ yd kicks this year, so it's definitely in his range. And again, they probably don't even try to move it forward with 10 seconds left if you don't have the TO in your pocket.
TL;DR version:
we screwed the last series up about as bad as we could have, FROM A SIDELINE perspective. We could have, should have forced them to burn their TO's, but instead we called time FOR them. They by all rights should have tied the game, because of those calls.

Can we just enjoy the win without this shite? Thanks.

He's good at calling conservative game plans with a young QB.
He's NOT good at creativity and taking advantage of mismatches. Brady was KING of this.

Plays on goal line and last drive once we got on the 40 were my issues. The rest of The play calling were solid.imo

They started to play with scared money. It was discouraging.

THIS. I truly thought that CLM was on the sidelines managing the clock. So dang stupid.
