Eddie Gran out at UK. Apparently having zero passing game is a bad thing.

Stoops says he wants to “score points, be explosive, be fun to watch.” He has never shown a desire for this in the past. Always seems to handcuff OC’s wanting to run the ball/control the clock. Maybe he has finally realized that won’t lead to wins.

Names being thrown around:
-Garret Riley
-Cale Gundy
-Kevin Johns
-Tim Beck
-Pep Hamilton

Thoughts?

I'd pass on Beck and Hamilton

I’ve never understood the Pep Hamilton hype. Gundy would be interesting, but it’s obviously a risk given that he never been coordinator before. Riley might be headed to SCar. Johns seems to have a solid resume. Beck just seems blah.

Cale Gundy has been at Oklahoma since 1999. Has to be the last remaining assistant from Stoop’s original staff at OU.

Has the OC title at Oklahoma since 2017. But really in name only.

Yes so let me rephrase, it’s a risk because he’s never called plays before.

By far. Bobby Jack Wright retired after the 2015 season and Jerry Schmidt left for A&M after 2017.

We've got a gently used and moderately defective Mike Bobo you can have.

He even comes with a quarterback who is incapable of surviving without him.
