Herein lies the answer to the conundrum we call LSU Football 2020. It was Joe Brady all along. Even with Burrow & Company, 15-0 and the NC would not have happened without him. Joe Brady will forever be a spike on the timeline of LSU football.

Remove Brady from the equation and this is what you have.

The more things change, the more they remain the same.

it was Burrow a LOT more than Brady

we could have gotten a ton of different good OCs to pair with Burrow and we would have wrecked shop

It was the particular combination. Like Payton amd Brees. The two clicked and worked well together. You replace either one with someone else and the results, while still good, would not be what we experienced last year.

So we're to believe that Joe Brady built the greatest college offense ever in one offseason all by himself with no prior offensive coaching experience?

Downvote all you want but if thats true, then Brady is perhaps the greatest football coach ever.

Burrow was here in 2018 along with almost all the 2019 offensive talent -- and we had a pedestrian offense.

Only when Brady came did Burrow explode.

Now that's not a knock on Burrow - it's a knock on Ensminger, to have all that talent in 2018 and do very little with it.

It took Brady + Burrow to make magic.

im not saying Brady wasn't a huge factor but we were putting up 40 points a game with Miles Brennan at qb. It's a completely different offense with these freshman qb's playing now

I mean it probably helped that all of those guys had some chemistry and experience in 2019 as opposed to having none in 2018.

Did we start the same offensive line more than five times?
