Could yall imagine what it would have been like if we had arik gilbert last year ? Moss was good ,but holy mother of God ,hes a beast. arik gilbert is as good a player as stingley was as a freshman.

If we would have played a normal season,he would have shattered records ,this year. Cant even imagine what burrow would do with him.

Has he actually expectations ? Cuz they were the biggest I've ever heard about a tight end

Moss's chip blocking was integral to what LSU was able to do last year. It's an element we're missing this year.

He is great and will only get better.

I know it wasn't a perfect throw but i believe he should have caught that ball from Finley when he would have scored easily.

Moss was more than a "willing" blocker. He was a vicious blocker. If Gilbert develops that part of his game it will make the offense significantly better and actually open up more opportunities for him as defenders become weary of him dropping the hammer and back off in coverage.

Gilbert needs to study some Moss blocking film.

I can’t wait until they decide to throw him a pass longer than 4 yards

If Finley put a little more air on that seam route vs Arky Gilbert would have housed that play for 40+ yards.

Moss was an excellent blocker, went the entire season without a drop, and had an amazing catch against Bama and two in the natty.

I've never really seen a Freshman tight end find the soft spot in a zone defense like that.hes got a great feel for what Finley wants him to do and he saved us many times from 3 and outs.

Hes not asked to block much ,I mean how often is he attached to the line .plus ,blocking is the thing that kids struggle with the most when there young

Gilbert’s improving as a blocker but Moss’s versatility was a huge part of his game and a huge part of our offense.

The fact that CEH could run the ball and catch passes and Moss could run block and catch passes basically meant we could run everything out of 11.

I really like Gilbert but MOSS was awesome last year. Pivotal part in our success. Gilbert’s Gonna be a stud.

Watch the replay. Gilbert should have still caught that ball.

He should’ve stayed. One more fully healthy season on his resume would’ve done wonders for his development and draft stock (obviously) If anything he could’ve potentially lowered the injury concerns.

Not much different. Moss made many very big plays that helped us to the best season on record.
How would Gilbert improve that.

We might have gone undefeated and won a natty! What a dream.

We would have been worse with Gilbert instead of Moss. That offense last year was a finely tuned machine. Half the plays Gilbert doesn’t know his assignment.
