Yup, found some 62 grain Hornady Frontier. Missed the 77 grain. Going to order 75 grain Hornady Black right now.

Rogers has a 400 round can of Federal 5.56 but it's going to cost you about $0.80/round.

Try wikiarms to see what is available from different sites.

Good luck with your search.

Any good links for 9mm, 22l, 223 sites that have quick shipping? Not looking to wait 6 weeks for ammo.
Ok, now just for fun, let's take this the other direction:

What are some reputable sites that currently allow backorders, that have some good prices?

I'm stocked ok, but if I can get a lead on some decently priced stuff (and the site is legit), I wouldn't mind waiting a month or 2.

What I've found: Optics Planet is letting me backorder Wolf steelcased 308 for $369 a case of 1k, the expected delivery date keeps rolling forward (mid January as of today).
They don't have it in stock, and they took my credit card info but state they won't charge until it ships.
I have 308, and I have a rifle that likes/prefers steel, since the fluted chamber can sometimes stick with brass. It also mangles cases on ejection.
For that price, an additional case isn't a bad idea for future stock.

it's going to be a while before everything settles out..5-6 million new/1st time gun owners just this year, plus all of the covid panic buying fricked everything up..i think it will start to normalize in the spring/early summer

I was recently given a 7mm-08 as my first deer rifle and have been trying to find ammo for it for the last few weeks. Have yet to find anything in stock anywhere online or in person. This shite is crazy.

Cabela's had Hornady ELD-X a few days ago on their site.

Don't see any now. Keep checking ammoseek a few times per day. I imagine some will come available.

RIGHT NOW,

Tula 223 1k $550
Tula 7.62x39 1k $330
Tula 9mm 1k $500

LINK
I have bought from them before, they ship fast and charge a $13 flat rate.

They also have good prices on AR and AK mags, the SHK mags are steel and solid, and get good reviews. I have some and mine run fine.

For point of reference, this is the site that, around July 4th, had the same Tula ammo, 9mm was $154; 223 was $250; 7.62x39 was $210. That was about the last time I saw prices at a sane level, and I stocked up what I could. Others were already gouging and they weren't. I don't think they are now, either... I think wholesale prices have skyrocketed.

We've been saying "Winter is coming"; well, Winter is here now. You either have it, or you're going to be wanting.

bought 1000 rds of Wolf .223 last week on ammoseek. $450 plus 34 for tax and shipping. got them in 4 days

Hey, regular Wolf or Wolf gold?

Apparently regular Wolf, some has steel core some does not. My range checks with a magnet. What I have isn’t steel core.

Ed: doing some reading, some ammo like Tula has a bimetal jacket that was magnetic. Bummer. RSO’s just use the magnet trick, wouldn’t care if I pleaded it was a non steel core.
