re: Emery and Davis-Price going forward

Just depends. I think Curry is great for what his style is. If you wanna slow it down and really pound the rock physically he's our guy. If you wanna go speed and move the ball around I'd like to give the other sophomores some chances until they show us they can't play. I don't think curry has much of a chance of breaking a huge run off and just the threat of that opens the offense up

Curry showed more in the SEC CG than Emery ever has.
5 rushes for 26 yds... I guess that solves the debate.

Alright a-hole. I got post season games mixed up. It was the 16 for 90 vs Oklahoma.

I just don’t see the explosiveness with any of them. I know Emery is supposed to be that but I haven’t seen him make any real plays since he has been here. Atleast we know the other two will drop their shoulder and fall forward .. ???????

Curry is better than Emory. Knows the plays, can block, and runs upfield.

I think Emory is very explosive. Maybe not as fast top-end as I thought, but he can he he get to full speed in just a couple steps.

Curry is great, but he's like Chris Ivory= one dimensional

Emery seems to be the only real outside threat. That’s what we need. I’ve seen them try Emery inside, but that’s not his strength. Get him outside, in space and he would become the feature back.

And what in Emery or TDP’s play has led to to say Curry doesn’t deserve equal touches?
TDP looked a step slow, and Emery showed some flash. But Curry is our best back for now.

Eliminate the 5* and tell me what you have seen in Emery to this point?
Here’s to hoping he lights it up from here though!

They’ve used him to run inside. That’s not his strength. Get him outside in space.

[quote]appreciate Curry's hard work and toughness, but hope to see this RB rotation narrowed down to Emery and TDP getting the majority of touches going forward.
Lmao.
Lmao.

Curry is a strong runner and can hit the hole downhill but doesn’t have good vision or lateral movement. He’s serviceable but not a star. The other 2 have a higher ceiling
Curry made a beautiful sidestep right after he hit the hole early in the MSU game. I think it was his first carry. Wish I had a gif of it. I know, it’s one play. But I wouldn’t be so quick to write him off.
It seems like a lot of folks tend to stereotype running backs into certain roles. Like they want a guy to either be a downhill bruiser or a finesse back. But there’s a lot of room between those descriptions, and there’s nothing stopping a guy from doing both. CEH is a perfect example - I think many (myself included) wrote him off as a 3rd down back because of his size and catching ability. But he proved that he can be a bruiser as well.
All I’m saying is, I wouldn’t be so quick to discount Curry. Yeah, Emery is the shiny 5-star and lord knows we need a spark at that position. But he’s gotta earn it, and the competition will make all three of these guys better.

I don’t know, but we may have to play more possession, miles style ball if our qb doesn’t improve.
Posted on 10/1/20 at 10:12 pm to Jack Crevalle
I would go Curry/Emery right now

What is he not doing to not be the starting rb

O said on his coaches show that emery ran the wrong route on the pass that Brennan threw a little behind him.
You could see it live; he should have stopped where there was daylight instead of running into the coverage. Brennan threw to the daylight, but Emery kept going.

I think the RB situation gets narrowed down after this weekend vs Vandy. I predict they are run heavy on Saturday, and one of these dudes will emerge as the RB1...my money is on Emery.

There’s one ball can’t keep 3 RB happy
