Looks like I was dead wrong and overly optimistic on this one

Tallahassee looks like a better choice.

Soho and 5 Points areas of Birmingham are great. Aloft Hotel is a good choice down there.

She brought 17 feet to that park/wetland area. Small area but it verified.

Thankfully it made landfall at Cameron and not at state line. It did bring 15-20 feet of storm surge to the coast.

Keep in mind part of what they’re trying to do is get people out. So do they hype it up? Yes they hype it up. Do I like it? No but they have to because most people are dumbasses and have to be scared into leaving. It saved lives getting people to evacuate Lake Charles.

Yeah and the people who stayed in Laura are miserable af and the death toll has been more post storm than when it hit.

Sally is a clusterfrick because now if this hits New Orleans it's going to frick all the resources up. There's no doubt they'll pull more for a larger population area like NO when SWLA people are still suffering. This is just a shite show. So with split resources there's no telling when everything will stabilize.

THANK YOU.

I don’t understand why people don’t get this. Why is it so bad to be prepared for the worst? You can think for yourself but there are a lot of people out there who don’t and if being over cautious saves lives then fine.

Will it be a clusterfrick if I leave NOLA in the morning? Trying to wait out having power as long as I can to see if today they get power at my house in LC. Everyone around me has it and I am hoping it gets hooked up today or else I would leave today.

Nola isn’t going to issue an evacuation order so it shouldn’t be a problem leaving tomorrow.

I’m feeling sort of guilty — got wind and what not for Laura — now not even in the cone for this one.

Y’all please stay safe everyone.

Thanks, I didn't know if I10 was going to look like a parking lot. If so, I would get ready to leave today.

Like in your area or your actual street?

You could always check the Nextdoor app and make a post asking if your street has power back.

Good luck to you.
