I’m not bright enough to keep up with ya’ll so I lurk and don’t post. Do any of you know conditions in DeRidder. My 75 yo mom lives outside of DeRidder and thinks it could be a while before she has power. Are the roads open to get there from Dallas? I usually cut through at Many to Leesville. Gas there and past Shreveport? Thanks OT

Some family of mine just drove to Shreveport and said there’s no gas at all along 49. If you make the drive, bring gas.

If you edit your thread title to make it more specific, you’ll have a better chance of getting feedback.

Lot of down trees and damage out there. I would not count on getting gas out there anywhere. Went through yesterday but I came from the east. And went north of deridder a little ways

My girlfriend's family lives there and they aren't expecting power for a while but they actually live on the outskirts. There is no gas they said at this time.

I’m in Pineville. I know multiple folks have gone to the Dallas area. So roads are open to some degree. Places around here have gas if they have electricity to run pumps. But lines are long and the further south you go the worse it’ll be. Gas up where you are and take the most fuel efficient vehicle and any extra gas you can. No idea on gas on major routes.

Gas at Slagle Mall in Leesville on Hwy 8. Walmart and Brookshire Brothers supposed to have gas today.

Power is 4 to 5 weeks out in most areas same as Calcasieu.

Cleco has an outage map on their website that will show estimated time of restoration

CLECO has told Leesville Admin's that power will not be restored for another 10-14 days there. DeRidder likely similar timeline.

No gas availability in Leesville as of yesterday. Had a friend tell me he waited in line for 4 hours to get 20 gallons at Slagle Grocery.

In-Laws came in from DR last night. Lot of trees down, power could be a couple of weeks. Brookshire bro’s has the pumps going, I am hearing that WalMart is trying to get them going as well.
