There’s really nothing to destroy downtown that would make you look twice. Some of those buildings need to be torn down anyway.

Some time back, Jackson had a pothole so bad that someone put a sign reading “Fix this motherfricker!” on a traffic barrel blocking it.
Less amusingly, it killed a girl on her way to HS graduation rehearsal because her convertible hit the pothole and flipped.

They(black folk) moving into the suburbs in big numbers. The combined metro Jackson area of Hinds, Madison, and Rankin counties are now minority White.

Atlanta is probably 60-40 and has a heavy history of race cards thrown. There is also big money there because of all the corporations based in the area.
Jackson is about 80-90% black and most of the rest of the state, and surrounding states, wished it would just go away. There is jack shite there because most of the development has moved over to suburbs like Flowood.

Actually, aside from the first few days of the unrest, in which there was a ton of looting, it’s been quiet in LA ever since. Couple protests at city hall and such, but nothing like Chicago, Seattle or Portland.

At this point, lanes are just a suggestion in Jackson, it’s just a pothole dodge.

That was an unsecured manhole on a newly paved road. But yeah the potholes are ridiculous in Jackson.

That wasn’t a pothole, it was an open manhole cover that was reported for days prior to that accident, yet never fixed.

This movement is much more so about white liberals (most of whom are never around any black people) to scream, yell, and raise hell in an anarchist and Marxist manner. The demographic is mainly 20-30 yr old trust fund big city type people...who have never had a job or career.

In the South blacks and whites work together, live in the same neighborhoods, pull for the same sports teams. Our children go to school together and play on the same teams.
