Go deive them and really drive them. I just purchased a truck after decades of driving a car. I am not a fan of how it rides in rough roads but that is just me. Not sure if one brand rides rougher but I would pay attention to ride quaility.

What did you end up purchasing?

To be honest: Get what you like best!

Any of them can be a lemon or a great truck so just go what suites your needs best!

Tundra. Just bought one last year. My previous tundra was an 04, traded w 214k and change miles. Had been to the shop once (alternator). Got a good price on the trade. It won’t blow cold air up your hole(s), but it cranks and gets you to point B every time. Also, it doesn’t have that stupid feature that kills the truck every time you stop.

I totally agree with you. And I'm ok with that. I put 25-30K miles on my truck every year. My last three trucks were F150, Sierra and Silverado in that order. All of them were very comfortable but monumental mechanical pieces of shite. Give me the reliability any old day of the week.

I have a Tundra now and I will never go back.

If you know that little then you should at least go look at the new Rams. They are damn near luxury vehicles on the inside and ride better than any truck around.

I've been driving smaller cars for a long time. I'm wanting to upgrade to a four door truck. I'm not looking for some truck nuts links. Just a friendly suggestion or your opinion.

F-150
Silvardo 1500
GMC 1500
Tundra

I don't have any interest in the Dodge Ram or Nissan Titan
What do you want to do with it? You've driven small cars, do you care about fuel costs? Do you need a heavy duty truck with towing capacity? Will you go off-road?

Drive them all and choose the one that best suits your needs.

but IMHO buying a 5 yr old used truck will get you the same and cost $10k-$15k less then new

The used truck market is absolutely batshit right now. I’m in the market for one and have been keeping up with it. Prices are 20% higher across the board than they were in February.

I've want to have the ability to haul things if need be. I don't need to pull a huge camper or anything like that. I've got a son and I think he'd like to go off-roading with me.
Honestly, anything I get will have the 4x4 option. I don't really care about fuel economy.

P.S. I've driven small cars out of necessity. We've always needed me to have a smaller cheaper car and now that's not the case.

I think I’d rather spend the $10-15k extra and just get something brand new.

IMO the GMC Sierra with the I-6 turbodiesel is the best one right now.
