The Covid thread is on page 1000+ almost 4 times as long as this one.

I got my generator and window units all set up and in place, so im sure it'll track west more and CenLa will be totally in the clear and i'll have done it all for nothing. That's typically how it works for me.

I was physically in Abeville right after Rita and there was significant flooding.

If I was around Abeville I would be leaving right now.

I have a good friend who lived west of big woods and for a few days, rumors circulated that he died/drowned due to the storm. No one could contact them

I saw pictures of the water being above his dads truck

2005 was just 15 years ago, but technologically, it seems like 30

I'll have to make a 6x6 card today, if I can figure out how that would even work.

I did a quick ride on the NW side this morning. Didn't have time for a big ride. I ride Spring Creek Greenway often. I start at Dennis Jhonston park but ride through Pundt Park. I ride to Jessie H Jones park then double back.

That's probably my favorite place to ride. I was out there one day a few weeks ago and came up on 5 deer just hanging out on the bike path. They barely moved when I whizzed by.

i love that trail. out of towner's always shite on Houston as a concrete jungle, but the reality is we have a lot of nice parks/greenways/trails other large or medium sized cities don't have.

my neighbor is the HOA prez here in Cypresswood and he told me they plan on extending the South end of the Spring Creek Greenway west to follow along Spring Creek. If so, i'll be able to hop on that trail from a block from my house.

if you're into mountain biking there are some real serious trails built back behind the Cypresswood Club House disc golf course that you should check out. I ride them a couple times a year.

Unless you live within 25 miles of the coast your biggest issue in Houston area is wind damage and potential tornados. Got zero wind from Harvey but a tornado hit our street and wrecked several houses. This was 2 nights before the real rain damage started.

Tornados are my biggest concern.
