Which means he had a whole fricking year to learn what his assignment is supposed to be and not panic in coverage before he even got on the field. He wasn't impressive at all last year, physically or mentally. It's like he must have never showed up to practice his entire freshman year to learn anything.

Even though LSU WR's in practice are probably his toughest opponents, it's still harder to cover someone he is unfamiliar with than a player he sees every practice. I am giving this guy a benefit of a doubt due to the limited action he had last year. As a familiar example, Nnamdi Asomugha was perceived as a possible bust to Oakand fans during his rookie year. I think Jai will figure some things out.

I notice last year alot of times he was right with the reciever but never looked for the ball and would get a flag. But he had good coverage.

I hope PJ doesn't start this year, because it would mean that we have some serious issues at corner. I too am not giving up on Jai.

Jai will develop into a great corner and end up at least as good to get drafted in the later rounds.

Did anyone ever notice J. Eugene jumping in at the end of plays to make it look like he assisted on the tackle? I can say he does get excited a lot and gets the sidelines hyped up (towel waiving)!!
