Have knocked close to $10k off of student loans, and began investing outside of our retirement accounts. Has thankfully been a good financial few months.

Paid down a credit card and been putting triple into investments what I was before

I only use credit for emergencies or when I don’t have enough cash on hand. It has really helped me stop spending so much when I see it come out of my checking account

There are definitely winners and losers from the last few months. I genuinely feel badly for the people who got waylaid by all of it. I didn't have credit card debt I needed to clear, but between reduced spending and a suspension of student loan payments, I've been able to increase saving substantially.

I actually have 6 credit cards (for different perks that I use semi regularly) and I keep them all paid up. The app is linked to my checking so I'll just pay it once the balance posts. I cant remember the last time I actually used my debit card.

Literally the only reason I carry mine is because ATMs haven't gone biometric yet

Do you not like free stuff that your cash can generate?

When restaurants were closed I saved a ton of money. I’m back to normal now

We took full advantage of the college loan deferral and paid off other things.
I see no reason to aggressively pay down my student loans when it is clear the morons in my generation are going to eventually vote to "forgive" them all anyway.

I'm always stuck between a 2-8k limit. I'm probably too poor to post here

What you are doing is smart. Don’t let these trolls get you down. People with similar means should do exactly what you are doing. Pay off your debts if you can.

I lease my car, don't see a point paying down extra. As for credit cards, I pay the entire balance every month. It blows my mind how many people pay a majority of their earnings just on credit card interest.
