Captain obvious.

Then don’t write a 3 paragraph response talking about how PM will not get fired.

I’m sorry you don’t approve captain obvious but some here act if PM is on the hot seat when times and circumstances say otherwise.

And plenty of your others would not just up and leave for LSU.
That sure is a valid argument of why they wouldn't leave. Also say what you will about Cannizaro as a person but the dude can coach. Also I never said that he'd be my top choice if we had to replace Mainieri, I was just throwing out names who I think we could get. Out of the names I mentioned who could we not get?

Schlossnagle, O'Sullivan, Van Horn, Savage, Fox, O'Connor or Cannizaro whom in my opinion would all be better options than Mainieri. That's just my opinion.

His personal life doesn't mean a damn thing about his ability to coach

Thank you. That is all I said. I literally stated that I never said he was a good person but to try and act like that man cannot flat out coach is being in denial.

You mean the guy that Mainieri has owned every which way since he stepped on LSU's campus?
Eric Bakich is the guy.

What if Dan McDonnell wants the job?

If one of the reasons to fire Mainieri is a shite record in Omaha, then why would you want McDonnell?
Give me a young(ish) up-and-comer over someone established.
Whenever Mainieri retires, throw the bank at Bakich.

Eh, id fire PM tomorrow if we could get mcdonnell
But being realistic, PM has some factors working in his favor, the covid and budget issues being one and the fact that woodward has leaned on him for advice in the past means if its close he’ll get the benefit of the doubt

You would think after Les Miles you all would understand that the importance of W/L is way less than what you think it is

Cannizzaro had a great opportunity and blew it. Lack of personal discipline and the serious character flaws he possesses eliminates him.

Unless he completely tanks (i.e. miss postseason), he's not getting fired.

But people want McDonnell because of his W/L record.

There is a reason I listed him first when mentioning some possible guys we could get. The dude has turned a normally non existent Michigan team into an Omaha contender. That is also with their lack of recruiting and disadvantage having to play on the road the first month of so of the year. Would absolutely love if we got Bakich.
FWIW. I was really rooting for Michigan to win it all last year. They could have if their bats didn't choke.

Two years of 3 seeds or one of not making the postseason combined with another 2 or 3 seed would likely do it. But i think we are a pretty solid team capable of hosting
