Hey guys. Just started playing the game about a year ago. Trying to get better every week. I trouble with hinging my wrist during my backswing. Don’t really know when to hinge it. I look on YouTube and people make it so complicated. Any easy advice?

The second you even consider your wrist in the swing, you are doomed

If grip, posture, ball position, and backswing are correct, your wrist will automatically be in the right position

Pressure only on the base of the last 3 fingers of ur bottom hand

Check out Hogan’s 5 Lessons of Golf. There are helpful illustrations

I was given the following on this board for an instructor in New Orleans and have taken 5-6 lessons with him. He’s really good.

Text Bobby Chrestman, PGA at 504-908-1902 and he will be happy to help you. Outstanding teacher for every level golfer. He teaches out at City Park or wherever.

Get in address position and grip the club. Lift the club up to waist level without moving your arms. That’s it. Now do that while turning and adding a little arm lift.

Let the weight of the club set your wrists in the back swing. Dont let them collapse, but also dont fight gravity.

Saguto Golf

Dude is quirky but I find him really easy to understand and does a good job explaining what the feeling should be. He has a video he just did on what the wrists should do.
