Add to that that the officers spent over 40 minutes with the guy. They knew 100% that he was a convicted violent felon out on parole who had been convicted of abusing his OWN children and significant other.

They had legitimate reason to believe that he was an immediate threat to any innocent citizen he came in contact with.

You honestly could not pay me enough to be a cop these days. Far too much to lose and very little to gain. I just don’t see an upside. They don’t pay shite, hold you accountable for everything in the world, could quite easily go to prison in doing your job, city leaders don’t even have your back and will throw you under the bus, have people hate you because you represent an authority in their life, and the bad guys who sure as hell don’t value life, not theirs or yours, and there’s an arse load of them, want to kill you too, and will if you give them half a chance.

You're most likely correct. However, that is not how the law is supposed to work. That cocksucker knows good and damn well that the charges he brought are not based on sound law, and will likely end in acquittal. That DA is not fit for the office, and the corruption surrounding this case is enough to make any logical person sick.
