I'd be taking a bench trial and not waving my rights to speedy trial. frick this retardation. And I say this as someone who loathes law enforcement.

Felony murder no less, which doesn't even apply here.

That D.A. is in a desperate battle for re-election. And is himself under investigation.

And Brosnan charged with aggravated assault. Good grief.

A Decmocrat mayor looking to save political face and get a VP nod.

A corrupt Democrat DA that is staring down the barrel of indictment on multiple ethics violations.

A police chief that was forced to step down after she initially refused to fire the officer.

Who the frick is going to convict that cop when that piece of shite stole his taser and pointed it at him? He’s already shown he is more than willing to take a weapon off of a cop. This is ridiculous. No jury will convict him on this bullshite charge. Every member of the APD should walk out in mass.

Congratulations, you are now officially the dumbest frick on this site. It’s second rule of owning a gun: Never point a gun at someone that you aren’t willing to kill.

Add to that that the officers spent over 40 minutes with the guy. They knew 100% that he was a convicted violent felon out on parole who had been convicted of abusing his OWN children and significant other.

They had legitimate reason to believe that he was an immediate threat to any innocent citizen he came in contact with.

Don't talk like that about the presumptive Democratic party nominee for President.

After reading the article, I can only hope that very terrible and painful things befall that crooked piece of shite. I will keep those hopes to myself. I will note that I am in no way threatening him.

He ADMITTED in the press conference that the county considers tasers a deadly weapon. So if the guy stole a taser from the officer and pointed it at him, how could the officer NOT be in fear for his life?

You honestly could not pay me enough to be a cop these days. Far too much to lose and very little to gain. I just don’t see an upside. They don’t pay shite, hold you accountable for everything in the world, could quite easily go to prison in doing your job, city leaders don’t even have your back and will throw you under the bus, have people hate you because you represent an authority in their life, and the bad guys who sure as hell don’t value life, not theirs or yours, and there’s an arse load of them, want to kill you too, and will if you give them half a chance.

Free coffee? Discounted apartment? I don’t know. What ya got?

The jury is going to acquit him. I'm sure the DA is banking on being able to blame the jury instead of the mayor and himself when the officer is inevitably acquitted. Just political theater for a DA in a run off election. It is simple as that.

You're most likely correct. However, that is not how the law is supposed to work. That cocksucker knows good and damn well that the charges he brought are not based on sound law, and will likely end in acquittal. That DA is not fit for the office, and the corruption surrounding this case is enough to make any logical person sick.

GO on twitter and see how many "voters" are lining up with the DA.

I dont understand how any person could agree with this.

Have you seen the video(s)? The cop shot him in the back. That isn't right. He had no justifiable reason to. The man was calm and non-combative for over 40 minutes. It wasn't until the cop went to put cuffs on him (without telling him he was under arrest) that the man freaked out and ran. Still no reason to shoot him in the back and then kick the man once he was shot. The cops got this one wrong.

You left out one key piece of evidence. Shocked I tell ya
