Correct. If the stands are full, the sponsors will be there.

No, they didn't. Since at least the 90s the vast majority of the Super Bowl watching crowd couldn't care less about the game itself.
The Super Bowl is a cultural event more than a sporting event.

No, they didn't
you are too stupid to even understand what he is saying
The phrase you are looking for is "couldn't care less"
When you say they "could care less" about the Super Bowl that means they do care if there is a possibility to care less
I don't expect you to comprehend this though if you are this worked up over some letters on a car and banning of a flag

NASCAR - bans Confederate flag
NASCAR fans - that's it, y'all are REALLY screwing up now. Enough is enough!

You know what's really going to be funny. The first race they are allowing limited fans at is Talladega. You don't get any more Southern than Talladega and that track is always where I saw the most Confederate flags at.
It's going to be hilarious when they can't sell out 5,000 seats.

NASCAR's Amazing Screwup
At some point college business courses need to use NASCAR as an example of how to destroy a business.
The downfall of NASCAR from a National Sport that was close to rivaling the NFL in popularity to essentially nothing is pretty amazing.
LOL.. I am not sure you read what you posted...So is the whole point NASCAR had the market cornered on racist sports fans and they just f'd up ?

Just look at the sport's popularity now compared to where it was 14 years ago. It's night and day for NASCAR and most of it has to do with the suits who run it. 14 years ago it was difficult to find decent tickets at just about all of the tracks. Now, even with the removal of thousands of seats, you can still find your pick of the litter. For example, Richmond used to seat 112,000 fans and sold out for 33 straight races all the way up until 2008. Attendance has been so bad the last 10 years that they reduced seating capacity to just 50,000 - and they still can't fill up all of those seats.
Clearly NASCAR has been doing something wrong for quite some time.

they have probably made a lot of mistakes, but also there is just a lot more to choose from these days.
also, the sport lost quite a few of its big stars, and now the drivers have less personality that the fans can relate to. it moved from an everyman sport to a sport of spoiled kids that have been racing in the nicest setups since they were old enough to reach a pedal. i feel like that is where it lost a lot of fans, moreso than even changing the season format

NASCAR had an opportunity to stay non-political and potentially get some NFL fans that were dismayed by what the NFL has become
NASCAR (indirectly through the France family) leaned into Trump back in 2016 and it did nothing for them
The reality is, no matter what the politics, a lifelong NFL fan who doesn’t care about motorsports isn’t going to suddenly start liking NASCAR

They may change the policy, but right now you have to
A) have already had tickets for the spring race
B) live within 150 miles of the track
Then, once those two criteria are met, there are further requirements for the order in which you have the opportunity to get tickets. I think it has something to do with how long you have had your tickets (so people who have been coming the longest and renew their tickets each year) get first choice.

Actually NASCAR has done some really good things in their return to racing. Will they all pan out and give a boost? Who knows but a lot of things have been well received:
-Midweek racing
-Shorter races
-Short track emphasis
-Limited practice time, just show up and race.
I think those are things that your average NASCAR fan approves of and will help attract the more casual one as well.
As far as the Flag and being public about their support of racial issues, I ultimately think that is the right side of history to be on and every league in due time will be there. I'm sure I'll get down voted into oblivion but the Stars and Bars will soon not be welcomed in a lot of leagues & businesses...the writing is on the wall to somebody who is indifferent. There's always going to be the vocal minority of staunch supporters, many who are in the Nascar demographic, but to most people at best its a "who gives a frick if thats the hill they want to die on" and at worst a symbol of well, a lot of negative things. I know what side the money will ultimately land on.

I believe NASCAR's entire motive behind all of this is to further their efforts to attract younger fans. They know that many young people care about this stuff, so they want to look like they care. In doing so, it'll hopefully attract young people who would not otherwise give NASCAR a second of their time. However, I don't think it'll be as effective as NASCAR wants it to be. The problem that NASCAR cannot remedy is that younger generations don't care about cars as much, and aren't nearly as blue collar as previous generations. Love for cars and being blue collar was what attracted so many people to NASCAR when it blew up in popularity throughout the 70s, 80s, and 90s. Younger generations simply aren't that way anymore, as many young people don't really care about working on cars or learning about cars.

F1 is attracting a non negligible amount of young US fans with their Netflix series. People enjoy the drama and the politics, and I think the bleeding edge technology of those cars (even though they don’t care about street cars that much).
NASCAR has traditionally had the drama and politics (not so much the technology), they really could have benefited from a “reality” type series. Seems like bland driver personalities has dulled the interest in the sport and this would have been a way around that.
