I'm a big proponent of getting a dog that was bred to do what you plan to do with it.

I had a GSD from world class working lines. He was a great dog, but not a good pet for 98% of people.

I agree, I have a Czech gsd that’s higher drive than most Mal’s I’ve been around. They are incredible dogs, all of the working line breeds. Just know what you’re getting into OP.

Your life has to be dedicated to the dog in almost every way. This type of dog is made to be with you at almost all times and needs constant stimulation (mental and physical).
If you can dedicate yourself to that, you will be rewarded with one of the coolest bonds a man can ever know.
