Nope

Don't need to ignore it.

All branches, to include that one, stem from deceased's decisions.

You really can't dance out of that reality.

Then you don't know the definition of "deserved".

I can't help you with that problem.

Yes. If you know for sure a crime has been committed. And that’s where the discussion ends here. Because you’re sure Ahmaud is a criminal. But you’ll be unable to give me any proof.

And that’s why citizen arrest isn’t going to work here.

You still don’t want to accept what the law is.

Immediate knowledge of a felony warrants a citizens arrest.

Entering a dwelling with intent to steal is a felony in Georgia.

We’ll see if there’s reasonable evidence to that end, but it’s trending that way.

It’s also looking like their might have been impropriety in the da’s office.

The two are not mutually exclusive.

I don’t see how that’s relevant.

Are you sure he's not? Are you sure they weren't aware of anything criminal before they went after him?

It's a hail Mary to try to avoid the root that comes before the branches.

Deceased's behavior is the root. There's only ONE root.

There are other poor choices that come after the root, but none of those choices can occur without the root.

I’m fine with where the law is. A person “hauling arse down the street” isn’t immediate knowledge of a crime. Hell, even if McMichael saw him leave the house, he probably doesn’t have enough to effect a citizens arrest.

Probable cause isn’t part of a citizens arrest.

The reason we don’t allow people to detain people because of probable cause is because detaining can be messy business.

One more thing.

Would love to see where I posted this.

Hint: you won’t find it, although his rap sheet says he is.

You say this as if 100% proof that he was engaged in criminal activity would change your tune in this thread even 1%

You aren’t, the rest of this post is worthless rabble.

Stay on point if you can.

The fact that you’re asking this question isn’t helping the McMichaels. It’s not a great question. I’m not sure. But that’s not the question. The question is did the McMichaels have direct knowledge of a crime serious enough to attempt to detain Ahmaud at gunpoint. All of that, at this point, looks unlikely.

You need to ignore it if you have any type of logical consistency. Arbery didnt make mcmichaels confront him. Those branches were on separate trees until mcmichaels made his choice to confront Arbery. None of your gymnastics change the fact that Mcmichaels initiated their confrontation. He could have not confronted Arbery and followed until police could apprehend, but he chose to confront Arbery himself.

You’re an idiot. If you can’t discuss something, don’t try to.

Immediate or in person. Keep the wording correct if you’re trying to make a point.

Get your emotions in check. Adults are discussing a topic.

I’m unaware of that story. I’m not in favor of senseless homicides as a general rule. I hope that helps provide a roadmap of my thought processes.

So if it comes out that they did have direct knowledge of a crime he just committed... They would be justified? I just want to make sure goal posts don't move.
