Then why are they only starting now?

Pretty sure it was to prevent people from buying up PPE early on that would've been used in hospitals. Plus, being in shelter-in-place/lockdowns really reduces the need for it.

Now we're opening things back up. Makes sense to take extra precautions.

Multiple studies have proven a cloth mask is better than nothing at all when used appropriately. Other countries who regularly deal with respiratory diseases other than the standard flu has been doing this for awhile. It's not hard to wear one (even over your nose) and to wash it regularly (buy or make a couple and it's really hardly an issue).

These guys were doing it in 1918. Cities during the second-wave required it. This isn't some new thing conjured up by Pelosi to take your rights away.

Based on the actual impact of this virus, not really.

You sure you want to use this as evidence of “it’s been done before, so it’s cool” seeing as there’s a guy wearing a sign about going to jail if you don’t wear one? Is that where you want us heading?

Belle I get the “don’t waste ppe” back then but why didn’t they say THEN that a fabric mask or any face covering was good?

Not trying to argue but serious question.
