120k on a '14 1500. zero problems, only regular maintenance. spark plugs and brake pads at 105k. auto shop commented how good of shape it appeared to be in.

I have a 2013 1500 2WD Big Horn with the 5.7 Hemi. It has 112k miles and still rides great. The interior, radio, and electronics all still work great. No issues other than the bolts mentioned earlier, which was covered by warranty.

One item that has spoiled me is the Ram Box. Will have to have it on my next truck.

I like my truck a lot, but I'd never get the air ride again.

What problems have you had with the air ride? That’s my main Hangup right now

Besides the suspension having known issues in real cold weather like northern weather, dealer wants 16k to fix/replace.

So you are in a cold climate? Or did you have a failure in a warm climate? I’m in Tennessee so fairly mild winters

I'm in south Louisiana. It's a flaw in air bags over time (a pinhole leak develops eventually). Is it worth 16k to replace it when it inevitably fails? A good coil setup cost 1k+any labor.

Buy what you want to buy and compare the ride on both. I wouldn't pay extra for it.

Have a 14 with 90000 miles on it and no problems at all. It has had a rough life on the farm but has held up. Have a 19 classic with 50 miles on it so we will see. Just got it Saturday hard to get used to no gear lever and just a knob.

I see, you threw me off with the cold weather comment. Yea if I get one with air ride and it fails I’ll be switching to coils. Interesting to see that yours failed in the south. Up until now I’ve only really seen people posting about failures in cold weather climates. How many miles did yours have when it failed?

I have had two Rams. The first one was a 2009 that made 225,000 miles before seeing the shop. It had the 4.7 V8 and 3:55 rear end. It was a great truck.

My current is a 2019 Ram Classic with the hemi and 3:21 rear end. It is an awesome setup. It gets great fuel economy. I usually average 20 to 22 mpg per tank. I averaged 13mpg for three days while towing a 21' bass boat to and around toledo bend a couple weeks ago. the 8 speed transmission is smooth as can be. It has an 8,000# tow rating as it is setup.

I used to be a GM fan but Ram has fully won me over. They ride, drive, and handle much better than any other truck I have driven. The interior materials and layout are much more pleasing to me than anything else as well. My new truck has the Ram Boxes. They are they best thing ever on a truck for someone like me. I keep tools, straps and whatnot on one side and the other stays empty and i use it for random things e.g guns, shell bags, groceries, dirty clothes, boots. I don't think I could live without those on a truck again.

Too add, both rams were 4WD. Also, don't run 87 octane in the Hemi. 89 is recommended. Use it unless you want engine knocking and other problems. Use good synthetic oil and premium oil filters. Do that and you will really enjoy your truck.
