Well yea you’d hope he would be an improvement
Ruiz is a 20yr old & Warford is a multi time pro bowler & grown arse man
Saints have proven they can win with just adequate Guard play. So when I say it doesn’t matter, part of me doesn’t know how good he is right now & the other part knows they’ll win 10+ games regardless. Which makes the premium they’ve put on the position even that more curious

You have to think it boils down to a cheaper, younger player that is also an improvement
A similar yet not similar situation to what SF did with Buckner/Kinlaw
Though Warford isn’t close to the caliber of player Buckner is and Ruiz is most likely a much better option than Warford

They moved both DE's to DT and beat us right up the middle ALL game. ALL game. We never adjusted or were unable to adjust, and it was frustrating as hell to watch the game unfold. In SP I trust, good pick.

1). Tackles did not play well but it was because MN attacked pass every play and they have very good DEs. Payton gives up on running in close games. Saints passed exactly 2 of every 3 plays in that game. Even though they averaged over 5 ½ yards per run attempt. Every game the Saints lost last year they ran less than 20 times I think. And in none of those games were they too far behind to keep running. And how did SF beat MN. They ran the ball down their throats. SF does not have a better Oline or backs than the Saints. Payton’s play calling lost that game. Not his Oline. Go ahead and flame away everyone. But the stats I gave are good.

The playcalling is what it is when you don’t have players that can win 1 on 1
Posted on 4/24/20 at 4:38 pm to Lester Earl
Your players can’t win one on one when they know what you are going to do. Just ask Les Miles.

Which is why I think the trade into the 2nd is a WR not LB

I truly don't understand how Lester is this bad as a poster.

Because, like so many on here, he fell in love with a handful of prospects, viewed them as essential (when the staff didn’t) and flipped the frick out when they passed on his guy
He also refuses to acknowledge when he’s wrong and it turns into a dick measuring contest

I wish I were that basic
I’ve literally had a guy like Robert Hunt as a sleeper pick at that spot. And several OTs were guys I thought they’d target. Wut. I wasn’t in love with any prospect & knew it would be wide open. You keep talking about WR... I said yesterday I didn’t think they’d go WR. Again, WUT
And you are the only person that has flipped out over this. You act like a child when we’re trying to have grown up conversations. Your accusations & perceptions about my motives have been quite laughable all day. To a point I can’t even respond to your foolishness

I wonder if we draft Pittman or a WR if people will stop bitching

Because I can’t believe a person would be as arrogant and narcissistic to assume they know more than the coaches and scouts that have brought us so many great players and so many great seasons.
It’s also laughable you think Warford wasn’t a big reason we lost that playoff game. He wasn’t the only reason but he was a big part of it. He was a big part of several losses over the last two years.

Never mentioned WR. I was talking about Queen. You’ve mentioned several times you loved Queen and wanted him. You say you were wide open but you had your mind made up.
Clearly Payton didn’t feel great about Hunt. I’ll go with the guy who has given us Evans, Nicks, Armstead, Peat, Ram and McCoy over you.

You take my opinion too seriously if you believe that I think I know more than coaches or scouts. Have you never disagreed with a coaching move? Or a play call? Im sure I could find a criticism with a quick search. Then are we in the same boat? We both think we know more than the coach? How stupid.
I just don’t think the need is there based on what they’ve spent to address that position over the last year.
Ive said I like the player.
I’ve said that corresponding moves could change my mind.
I don’t know how I could be any more fair. It’s like you don’t even read what I type.

I would have been happy with a number of players. Queen was one of them. I don’t marry myself to any player which just makes your comments even more ridiculous
I made of list yesterday of 10 guys & said I would bet that the pick very easily could not be on my list (which is exactly what happened). To think I wasn’t prepared for something like this is just talking out of your arse

Good teams don’t draft based on need
See the Cowboys with Lamb. I wonder if the 49er fans were bitching last year when all the DL they took in the first round for the last 4 years started fricking destroying people. And now they drafted another one. You win with QBs and the trenches. Bottom line.

There’s too many layers to “need” to make that blanket statement. I agree with the premise, though.

Good. Then we can come back & talk about how I think he’s a good player. That’ll be fun
